About Me
I started working with websites in the beginning of 2001 right after I graduated from the CHUBBS INSTITUTE, which then had a programming course. My first real 9 to 5 job was with a retail news company that needed a programmer/web developer to manage and maintain the site they had. It was an extensive website written in coldfusion markup language. That language was not one of the classes I took in school, but I had the LOGIC background that would support my new experience with a new language. Once I start with coldfusion and web development, I found that it was something that I wanted to pursue. I enjoyed the work, knowing that I would produce something that an unlimited amount of people can see, and get some useful information. But at that year things went bad for the dot coms which forced a lot of companies to close up shop; one of them was IdeaBeat.com, where I worked. Allthough the founders of ideabeat decided to try and re-invent the wheel and create a new site, the resources were limited. And that's when retailwire.com came about. Rick Moss & Santi Briglia came to me with the new idea of retailwire where I would become the developer for the site. The site was created in less than a month and a half with enough time to test it out and bullet proof it. As retailwire started to get traffic I found myself at a fork in the road where I had chose to work in some other programming language with a medical company. Clearly from that experience I learned that I am more interested in the web development side. So I started searching for other positions. In the beginning of 2002 I was able to find myself back in the web development field again, where I was able to spend a lot more time in learning and creating extensive sites. With the experience I have now I am considered a Senior ColdFusion Developer with a lot of experience in creating websites from A to Z. So basically clients would come to me, and I can take their ideas, put a plan together and get what they need and more. |
